
It's back to school time, and that means it's also backpack-wearing + sitting time for your kids. A poorly positioned backpack and poor posture while sitting for long periods of time, can make school a painful experience for your child.
Kids and low back pain
According to a recent survey of school-aged children, the lifetime prevalence of low back pain is over 40%. And up to 26% of children miss school because of back pain – 13% of those cases including recurring or disabling back pain!
How to prevent back pain
First, come see Dr. Trester for an evaluation. Dr. Trester will review your child's spine and recommend a plan for correction (if necessary) and ongoing wellness. Also take into consideration these helpful tips.
